Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services, Inc. began providing treatment services for clients in residential treatment in 1993. In response to a statewide change in service delivery in 2007, the Community Counseling program was established in LaGrange and Columbus, in order to meet treatment needs of youth in residential care, as well as the community at large.
Our Community Counseling program has been identified through the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) as an A-B provider consistently since 2008. Twin Cedars is one of six agencies in Georgia selected to participate during 2014 in a Trauma Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Learning Collaborative. This is supported by funding from The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) and SAMSA.
As part of Twin Cedars, Specialized Foster Care is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and licensed by DATEP.
