The Georgia Industrial Children’s Home, a campus of Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services Inc., hosted the third annual Dinner in the Orchard on May 17, 2014. The event was a sell-out, and over 170 guests enjoyed farm to table fare, “where the fields meet the shore.” The vision for the event started when our committee chair, Joy Dyer, presented an idea to show off the campus, and serve really great, locally grown food at the same time. It took a year of planning, but three years later, here we are. Macon has really warmed to the idea of eating outdoors, and the guest list grows every year. We are looking at ways to expand the size of the event, without sacrificing the intimate feel of eating with 170 of your friends and neighbors. We will just have to see what next year holds!
We would like to thank our Sponsors and Partners for Dinner in the Orchard.
