The Troup Circle of Care program was established in 1997 by the Troup Family Connection Authority (TFCA) in collaboration with Troup County Department of Family and Children Services, District Four Health Services and other community partner organizations. This was to address the issue of rising repeat teen pregnancy rates in our community.
The Circle of Care program works with pregnant/parenting minors and their families to enhance their quality of life. Because our primary concern is for the future of these mothers and their babies, we work together to maintain school enrollment or G.E.D. course completion.
The (delete) Circle of Care, a program of Twin Cedars Youth & Family Services, Inc., is located at 701 Lincoln Street in LaGrange, Georgia at the Coleman Community Center. The staff consists of one full-time Program Coordinator who performs home visits, transportation assistance, center-based parent education, community forums and other services.
The Circle of Care is funded by the Department of Human Resources- Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program and receives referrals from various sources including DFCS staff, local schools, area hospitals, health departments/clinics, private physicians, concerned family, friends and community agencies.
These agencies may include The LaGrange Pregnancy Center, Alpha Multipurpose Center, The Spot, DFCS Center for Health and Family Planning, West Georgia Technical College, Twin Cedars Youth & Family Services, Twin Cedars Second Chance Home Program, Troup County Health Department, Troup County School System, Troup County DFCS, Troup County Parks and Recreation, and Troup Family Connection Authority.
